8th March, is fondly celebrated as International Women’s Day. This wonderful day brings many great things for women – an ardent cause for celebration, a classic reason to pause and to take a step back and re-evaluate a remembrance, an inspiration and a time to be honoured, loved and be admired . Today, we are proud to have announced that women are in the highest positions in the society and they stand shoulder to shoulder with men. This is the best hour to give love and show respect to these beautiful beings from heaven, who have made the world, a greener place to live in. We have to shower our love and compassion, during these testing times to women and girl children, who may seldom be affected in the mind by harsh pandemic situations. It’s our duty to support and empower women in our organisations and spread a positive attitude by making them take a step towards breaking the bias. This year, we have to emphasize on achieving gender equality and breaking the bias which is this year’s theme for IWD.
Women are naturally, lovable creatures who have the knack and the tact to make life easy and wholly liveable for the good of not just their own but also the rest of mankind. An old phrase comes to mind, a fine woman is as good as five abled bodied and ten sound minded men. Women had mastered the art of being soft and strong at the same time which cannot be the case with men. Women in turn have nurtured the elements of manliness in men while raising them up since a kid and slowly by dints of family making, one is carved into a compassionate human being.
We, Men must remember that – without women, we simply cannot come to existence as they are the ones who bear the harsh labour of childbirth. Women have been looked down and shamed by some aspects of society as a subject of degradation. They will strike any achievements by women and girls and that would be biased and pure evil. This outlook is the new social evil and it must be nipped off at the bud. Women and girls are always in par with the standards of men. They have indeed ,for centuries, stood tall in all fields that men compete in and created a benchmark in latest achievements on many fields from science to sports thus becoming a modern day achiever, who had faced the same as the opposite gender had faced , thus achieving gender equality and breaking the bias at the same time. To women we take a how at SFBS! So come join us and break the bias.
